Bali Hotels Association's statement on Banten - Lampung Earthquake & Tsunami
Based on the official update from Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, earlier today 23 December 2018, there were elements of a perfect storm, which caused a small tsunami in Banten - Lampung which is located 1200 km away from Bali. There were anticipated full moon high tides, activity from the Krakatoa Volcano as well as an earthquake in the area. This recent series of events has NOT affected Bali.
