The Day of Silence in Bali | Nyepi Day

Bali Hotels Association 16 February 2019

Hotels & Resorts in Bali invite you to discover  and enjoy yourself through the blissful serenity during Nyepi - the day of silence in Bali.

Nyepi  Day or more commonly  known  as  Silent  Day in  Bali  is  celebrated  annually as the Balinese Hindhu observe  silence, fasting, and  meditation for the whole day and  night.  Nyepi  is  reserved   for self-reflection  and  hence, anything  that might interfere with  the  purpose is  restricted.  Some  of  the main restrictions are no lighting fires, no working, no entertainment, and no traveling. It is one magical day in Bali where complete silence is honored and the tranquility is present at all time.

The night  during  Nyepi  is  known  to be  exceptionally beautiful as  the stars  shine   bright over the Bali night sky.
