In his weekly briefing online Sandiaga Uno conveyed that preparations for the opening of Bali tourism were continuing, but were adjusted to the Covid-19 conditions at home and abroad.
And at this time, his party is making preparations in terms of the pre-defined conditions, but in the case of Covid conditions that are not possible, of course it will be reviewed.
"We will adjust the announcement of when (to open Bali tourism for foreign tourists) with the more conducive Covid situation. The preparations are still at 90 percent level for the preparation of the travel corridor arrangements, and for the preparation of aircraft charters as a trial and the progress of these plans has been very significant," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno. But pressing the button (when it is set to open) depends on the current Covid situation. So we have decided that if the situation improves we will finalize it, and if it is not, of course we will adjust it"
Chief Executive of the Bali Province Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and Secretary of the Bali Province COVID-19 Task Force I Made Retin, also commented in regard to the spike in cases, Rentin said "that his party was still waiting for directions from the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster. However, there are certainly various efforts that will be made to reduce the rate of the case. The point is (there will be) tightening of entrances, complying with procedures and optimizing vaccines."
