Indonesian Government launches Pre-Employment Card
The Working Cipta Committee is now preparing a Pre-Employment Card Program for job seekers and formal or informal workers who are directly affected by the reduced national economic activity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of the implementation of Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2020 concerning Refocusing Activities, Budget Reallocation, and Procurement of Goods and Services in the framework of the Acceleration of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) to provide social protection and mitigate the negative impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on the national economy, the Committee takes steps to accelerate the implementation of the Program and adjust the focus of the Program
Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for the Economy said: "In line with President Joko Widodo's direction, the Pre-Employment Card Program has now been adjusted not only for young workers and job seekers but also for those directly affected by COVID-19. The government has prepared a budget of Rp. 20 trillion for this matter, we hope this program can help the purchasing power of workers and micro and small businesses who have experienced a decline in income and / or lost their livelihoods ”
Susiwijono, Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs , who also serves as Secretary of the Working Cipta Committee, said: "Data Collection of Workers Recipient affected by the COVID-19 outbreak is a cross-sectoral effort involving various ministries and institutions. We hope that with the cooperation between these ministries, the Employment Card program can target those who need it most. "
Denni Purbasari, Executive Director of Managing Management of the Work Cards said: "The Workers Card Program will target around 5.6 million participants in 2020, with the amount of training assistance and incentives received by each participant amounting to Rp 3,550,000. Formal / informal workers affected by the COVID-19 outbreak can register on the Program's official website at www.prakerja.go.id starting the second week of April ”
Benefits of the Pre-Employment Card Program in 2020 of Rp. 3,550,000 consisting of training assistance of Rp. 1,000,000, post-training incentives of Rp. 600,000 per month for four (4) months and employment survey incentives of Rp.50,000 per survey for three surveys or a total of Rp. 150,000 per participant. Each program participant can only participate in the program once. Incentives are paid after participants have completed at least one (1) training.

About the Employment Card
The Pre-Employment Card Program is a competency development and productivity improvement program through the assistance of training costs provided to all Indonesian citizens aged 18 years and over and not in school / college and those directly affected by COVID-19. The types of training that can be taken in the Pre-Employment Card program during the COVID-19 outbreak are online-based. Digital platforms that have collaborated with the Pre-Employment Card Program to date include: Tokopedia, Bukalapak, Skill Academy by Ruangguru, Want to Learn What, HarukaEdu, PijarMahir, Sekolah.mu and Sisnaker. The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, as the Chairperson of the Working Copyright Committee, is the person in charge of the Work Card and the Managing Management program, the program operational implementer.
