Bali Hotels Association Announces New Chair and Vice Chair for 2025
The Bali Hotels Association (BHA) proudly announced the appointment of its new Chair and Vice Chair for 2025 during its Annual General Meeting, held on Friday, December 6, at the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa. This significant event brought together General Managers from Bali’s leading hotels and resorts, underscoring the organization’s unwavering commitment to fostering collaboration and excellence in Bali’s hospitality sector.
The meeting began with a warm welcome from the 2024 Chairman, Shaun Dünhofen, Regional General Manager of Karma Resorts Bali, setting an inspiring tone for the day. Key agenda highlights included the Finance & Business Development Report and a presentation of the BHA Partnership video. The Annual General Meeting also reflected on BHA’s 2024 accomplishments, including impactful sustainability initiatives, community outreach programs, and training sessions. Special recognition was given to contributors and partners who played a pivotal role in advancing BHA’s objectives.
Executive Director Diah Ajung announced the voting results for 2025 and extended heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Board Members— Shaun Dünhofen, Joel Bartlett, and Wayan Warta—for their dedication and service.
The newly elected Chair, Franklyn Kocek, General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Seminyak, expressed his vision for the coming year, stating: “It is an honor to serve as Chair of BHA. Our focus will be on driving initiatives that enhance sustainability, nurture local talent, and promote innovation within our industry. Together, we will ensure Bali remains a beacon of hospitality and culture.”
Simona Chimenti, General Manager of The Pavilions Bali and the newly appointed Vice Chair, added: “I look forward to working closely with our members to address emerging challenges and seize opportunities that align with BHA’s strategic goals. Collaboration will be key to achieving our shared vision.”
Fransiska Handoko, General Manager of Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali and Head of Government Relations, shared valuable insights for 2025, emphasizing the importance of aligning with evolving regulations and policies to strengthen Bali’s tourism landscape.
The session concluded with a Townhall Forum led by the new Chair and Vice Chair, offering members an opportunity to exchange ideas, perspectives, and challenges.
The event wrapped up with a celebratory lunch, during which the winner of the free membership renewal for 2025 was announced. This added a festive touch to the proceedings while raising funds for the Bali Hotels Association’s CSR initiatives.
Looking ahead, BHA remains steadfast in its dedication to preserving Bali’s unique heritage and promoting responsible tourism practices. Under the leadership of its new Chair and Vice Chair, the association will focus on strengthening partnerships, driving innovation, and enhancing the island’s reputation as a world-class destination.
