Bali has been chosen to host the first Indonesia International Marathon (IIM), which will be held on June 26, 2022, with the concept of sport tourism.

"In addition to strengthening the synergy between the central and regional governments, this event aims to form a superior and healthy young generation through sports competitions," said IIM 2022 committee chairman Made Cakra Adi in a written statement in Denpasar, reported by Antara, Sunday, April 10.

The Bali and Beyond Travel Fair to be held in Nusa Dua Bali, 14-18 June 2022, will bring together around 127 sellers and 87 buyers from 27 countries.

More than 300 passengers were on Jetstar’s first flight to Bali in two years on Monday 14 March from Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport. The close to sold-out flight is the first directly to Bali from an Australian airline since planes were grounded in March 2020.

Senior minister, Luhut Pandjaitan has announced some changes that will apply to international arrivals into Bali. 

Some of the main changes are that Indonesians are required to quarantine for seven days, the list consisting 15 banned countries has been removed, as well as the tourist entry points are at Bali and the Riau Islands.

Fransiska will succeed Jean Hélière, General Manager of Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach. Jean will leave Bali to take a new position in Doha. Vice Chair is Kevin Girard, General Manager of Conrad Bali.

The 17th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit will take place at the end of the year 2022 in Bali. The Summit will be the pinnacle of the G20 process and intense work carried out within the Ministerial Meetings, Working Groups, and Engagement Groups throughout the year.
