Indonesia extends the temporary restrictions on the entry of foreign visitors until February 8
Indonesia has extended the temporary restrictions on the entrance of foreign visitors until February 8, 2021 in a bid to prevent the spread of the new COVID-19 strain.
The new strain, known as VOC 202012/01 and was first recorded in the UK, includes a genetic mutation that could result in the virus being up to 70 percent more transmissible. There have been no official cases of the new strain in Indonesia; however, the country’s neighbors Singapore, Australia, Vietnam, and Malaysia have reported cases.
Indonesia closed to all Foreign arrivals 1-14 January 2021
The latest Surat Edaran ( Circular) No.4/2020 from the National Covid-19 Task Force regarding the border closure from Jan 1 - 14, 2021. Exempt from the order are 1) WNI (Indonesian citizens), 2) diplomats accompanying official Ministerial delegations, 3) KITAS/KITAP holders.
WNI and KITAS/KITAP holders are required to quarantine for 5 days at designated locations.
Holders of Business Visas or APEC Card holders are not exempt from this.

BHA responds to Hotels in Bali portrayed in the news as trashed, wrecked and deserted
Bali Hotels Association would like to take this opportunity to respond to, and clarify details which appeared in a story aired by Channel 9 News Australia’s A Current Affair (ACA) presented by Tracy Grimshaw and shared on 10th November 2020 via social media . The story showed a hotel in the Legian area that was portrayed as trashed, wrecked and deserted. The news was also implying that all hotels are like this in Bali and that the island is worn and torn. Which is far from the truth.
