The 2018 IMF - WBG Annual Meetings Bali

Bali Hotels Association 24 August 2018
The Annual Meetings of International Monetary Fund & World Bank Group (IMF-WBG) are conducted annually in 8-14 October 2018 in Nusa Dua, Bali to discuss the work of their respective institutions. In addition to a plenary meeting of the Boards of Governors, the Development Committee (DC) and the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) are convened as part of the Annual Meetings. The DC and IMFC advise the Boards of Governors on global financial and economic development issues, including global economic outlook, poverty eradication, and aid effectiveness.
Around these meetings, the IMF and WBG organize a number of fora to facilitate the interaction of governments and IMF-WBG staff with civil society organizations, journalists, private sector executives, academics and representatives of other international organizations. The Annual Meetings also provide opportunities to foster dialogue with the public through live-streamed events and online conversations via World Bank Live, Twitter, and other platforms broadcast all over the world.
Around 12,000 up to 15,000 people attend the Annual Meetings, including about 3,500 delegates from 189 member countries, roughly 1,000 media representatives, and more than 5,000 participants representing the private sector, the banking community, academic institutions, civil society organizations, and also observers and parliamentarians.
