Ball continues to warmly welcome visitors to Bali as it maintains a high level of alert and awareness, as Indonesia reports it now has 2 cases of COVID-19 case in the country. Marking the first confirmed cases, the President of Indonesia was quoted as saying by the Kompas news site that the two Indonesians had made contact with a Japanese person, who visited the country and later tested positive in Malaysia. Both are located in Depok, just outside of the Indonesian capital and are being treated at Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital in Jakarta. The captial is located 1,201.61 km from Bali.
Bali Hotels Association member hotels continue to pay attention to all the expert advice in light of the COVID-19 situation and all hotel members have once again been reminded to maintain all precautionary measures in place as recommended by WHO. The Bali Hotel Association also updated their recommended procedures for handling guests and staff who may present unwell in any of our member hotels in conjunction with the Bali Department of Health and WHO recommendations.
