BHA Engages in High-Level Discussion on the Future of Tourism

Bali Hotels Association (BHA) continues to advocate for quality and sustainable tourism as part of its commitment to Bali’s long-term growth.
BHA Chairman Franklyn Kocek, representing 162 hotel members, joined a strategic discussion with Tourism Vice Minister Ni Luh Puspa and Indonesia Representative Council member Komisi VII, at Padma Legian Hotel ,alongside the Head of the Bali Tourism Office and the Bali Tourism Board and other tourism stakeholders to address the planned updates to Indonesia’s Tourism Law No. 10 of 2009.
With global tourism evolving, the current law no longer meets the needs of the industry. A modernized legal framework is essential to ensuring that tourism development aligns with sustainability, community well-being, and economic resilience.
Tourism Vice Minister Ni Luh Puspa and the Indonesia Representative Council member emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and tourism stakeholders to shape a strong, future-ready foundation for the industry. BHA will continue to be actively involved in these discussions, ensuring that the voice of Bali’s hospitality sector is represented in shaping the future of tourism.
