There are three stages that are designed related to the opening of Bali tourism .
The first phase on July 9, tourism will be opened specifically for the movement of local Balinese communities and certain sectors. If the situation is conducive, then it will continue for domestic domestic tourists in August 2020. Then for international tourists the plan is to open from September 2020.
"Once again I emphasize, this is just square off, not a schedule that will definitely be implemented. So whether or not this is carried out will greatly depend on the situation and the dynamics of the development of Covid-19 in the field, especially local transmission in Bali, "said Koster, in a written statement.
Koster said, Bali applied the precautionary principle related to the opening of this tourism. Because, at this time, Bali is focusing on handling Covid-19. Moreover, currently the trend of local transmission cases is increasing. If without caution it is feared that a second wave will occur which will be more difficult to handle. Koster said, the above stages are part of the design of the protocol to face the new life order (new normal)
