Bali Open for Business

Bali Hotels Association 10 February 2020

The past few weeks have seen some rather challenging times for many. Bali Hotels Association has been busy keeping our members updated by sharing status updates and the latest safety, public health and travel advice. Just as the rest of the world, we look to recover and continue to promote Bali overseas and within Indonesia.

Many visitors continue to fly into Bali and enjoy everything that Bali has to offer. Our current ‘Bali is My Life’ and Rediscover Bali’ campaigns continue to highlight that Bali is open for business and we continue to receive a positive response from our industry partners, media and consumers.

In regard to China we need to remain informed and follow the Government regulations in place and hope to see a positive outcome for this market during these challenging times.

For Bali it is business as usual. Our hotel members continue to maintain a high level of attention to all the expert advice and in light of the 2019-nCoV situation in China, Bali Hotels Association member hotels have stepped up and implemented precautionary measures.

Travellers are reminded to adopt the following precautions at all times:

  • Avoid contact with live animals including poultry and birds, and consumption of raw and undercooked meats
  • Avoid crowded places and close contact with people who are unwell or showing symptoms of illness
  • Observe good personal hygiene
  • Practice frequent hand washing with soap (e.g. before handling food or eating, after going to toilet, or when hands are dirtied by respiratory secretions after coughing or sneezing)
  • Only wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms such as a cough or runny nose
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue paper when coughing or sneezing, and dispose the soiled tissue paper in the rubbish bin immediately; and
  • Seek medical attention promptly if you are feeling unwell.

Bali Hotels Association continues to keep travellers, travel partners, media and visitors update via the "Current Situation"  section of our website and on our social media channels.
