Ubud, Bali ? Maya Ubud Resort & Spa will feature a solo painting exhibition by I Ketut Teler, titled ?Welcome to Paradise? from January 8 - February 8, 2011. Teler will display 22 of his unique artworks themed ?Welcome to Paradise?, which are the testimonies to the various phenomena of costumes, culture, tradition & religions that occurred in Bali. The paintings show various forms of acculturation and cultural adaptation that grow harmoniously in Bali.

Bali, December 3, 2010? Bali Hotels Association (BHA), together with the Rotaract Club of Nusa Dua, successfully organized a charity event on Monday November 29 to raise funds for the victims of the recent Mount Merapi eruption in Indonesia.

One year Old and going Strong IPRC for a Safer Bali. On Tuesday November 30, 2010, IPRC, the ?Integrated Police Radio Community?, celebrated its first birthday at Aston Grand Kuta Hotel. The celebration was attended by almost 100 representatives of Bali?s tourism and business community as well as the police. Amongst the guests were Chief of Denpasar Police Mr. Suryanbodo, Head of Kuta Police Mr. Ganefo as well as Bali Hotels Association [BHA] Security and Safety Director Andrew Gall. The celebration ended with a fire dance and the commitment of all parties to further develop IPRC in 2011. The celebration started with a blood donation session at Harris Kuta Hotel last Saturday.

Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali is proud to achieve runner-up position in the recent MLA Black Box Culinary Challenge 2010, held at Nikko Bali Resort and Spa from 5 to 6 November 2010. Organised by Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), the competition is aimed at encouraging young professionals to work and compete in a team format, as well as display their skills and talents in an external catering environment. Established 14 years ago in Bali, the 2010 challenge brought together chefs from 12 of the top five star hotels and resorts from the island, competing for top honours. Entering the competition for the first time, the team from Banyan Tree Ungasan comprising Chef de Cuisine, Mr Mandif Membramo Warokka, Chef de Partie, Mr Antonious Agung Suryandita, Commis, Deni Sugiarto and Demi Chef de Partie, I Putu Agus Subawayasa impressed the judges with their inspiring creations. Using the surprise ingredients that were presented in a black box, the team had to immediately prepare four courses based on the available cut of meat, limited amount of vegetables and herbs and spices.

Nusa Dua, Bali, October 5, 2010 ?As part of its effort in keeping tourists happy and healthy during their vacation in Bali, Bali Hotels Association (BHA) proudly supports Bali Spa & Wellness Association (BSWA) program. BSWA successfully held their first Hygiene Workshop for Beach Masseuse on September 30 at Benoa, Nusa Dua. BSWA conducted the training for hygiene, sanitation, skin diseases, basic massage techniques, and professional ethics. More than 70 masseuses attended the event and happily took on the proper and healthy practice.
